As our Construction Project Manager, you'll take ownership of the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction to closeout, while collaborating with architects, engineers, and subcontractors. This hybrid role allows you to work remotely most of the time (approximately 80%), with the flexibility to attend job site visits and occasional team meetings as needed. You must be based in Illinois and familiar with navigating projects throughout the greater Chicago area.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of construction projects, including planning, execution, and closeout
- Maintain project documentation and communication through Procore
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and punch lists
- Lead coordination with field staff, subcontractors, and consultants
- Conduct site visits to ensure quality standards, safety, and timeline compliance
- Utilize digital tools to streamline workflows and reporting
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to ongoing process improvement
- Communicate updates to clients and internal stakeholders
Qualifications
- 3 or more years of project management experience in the construction industry
- Proficiency with Procore is required
- Strong knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, and construction documentation
- Tech-savvy and open to adopting emerging tools (experience with Clutch AI is a plus)
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and related platforms
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred, but not required
